POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW POSITION
This fellowship encompasses the fields of cognitive neuroscience and computational modeling. There are two potential projects that the fellow can participate. The first involves the analysis of neuroimaging data (fMRI and EEG) to characterize nonlinearities in brain network dynamics and the relation to cognitive function. This work involves analysis of existing and newly acquired data. The second involves making use of TheVirtualBrain modeling platform to characterize the local and distributed brain dynamics as they change in the face of neurodegenerative disease. The final project will depend on the fellow’s skill and interest and the interaction with other lab staff. The fellowship offers ample opportunity for manuscript preparation and conference attendance in the field of cognitive neuroscience and collaborations both with the institute and with The Virtual Brain consortium.
The Rotman Research Institute (RRI) is a premier international centre for the study of human brain function. The primary research focus is on memory and the executive functions of the brain, both in normal aging and in the presence of diseases and conditions that affect the brain, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. This fellowship is supervised by Dr Randy McIntosh. Contact us for more information about this opportunity.
