SHORT BIO

The aim of my research as an MA student at Simon Fraser University and a member of the McIntosh Lab is to explore the spatial-temporal changes of brain networks that support the process of healthy aging. I received my BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Guilan in Iran in 2017, and I was an RA at the University of Tehran for three years, where I found my interest in machine learning and deep learning research.

Participating in the Neuromatch Academy 2020 summer school propelled me to focus my studies at the intersection of machine learning and neuroscience. My main research goal is to make diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases possible and accessible from early stages using computational algorithms applied to the data recorded from human participants, which I hope to continue during my Ph.D. studies.
