SHORT BIO
I am a Master of Science (MSc) student in the McIntosh Lab and a graduate of the University of Toronto, where I completed my Honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience (Specialist) and Molecular Genetics and Microbiology (Major). I am deeply interested in exploring cognitive decline in healthy and pathological aging, cellular senescence within the context of the nervous system, and the ways in which The Virtual Brain can helps us understand the interplay between these two phenomena. These interests will come together in my MSc thesis project, where I will be using The Virtual Brain to examine the consequences cellular senescence at the level of neurons might have on large-scale brain dynamics in Alzheimer’s disease.
During my time in the lab, I have also been involved in the lab’s Brain Resilience Study, where I have worked on, among others, creating a pipeline for preprocessing electroencephalogram data.
Outside of work, I love music, indulging in good food, and watching copious amounts of television.
