SHORT BIO

My research program focuses on understanding the network dynamics that underlie cognitive function in aging and dementia using a combination of behavioural, multimodal neuroimaging, and computational modelling techniques. I have studied the mapping between large-scale network structure and function and validated pipelines for reconstructing the structural connectome in animal models and individuals with dementia. Most recently, I have been building personalized models of individuals with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease to differentiate the biophysical parameters that underlie seemingly similar dementia profiles in the two disease. I’m a big proponent of open science initiatives and their value in developing individualized solutions for precision medicine.
